As reigning XIT RODEO QUEEN you are expected to be a positive role model. Be sure that your clothes are clean andpressed. NEATNESS is VERY IMPORTANT: hair, makeup, nails, etc. You will be expected to participate in ALL designated XIT functions unless otherwise granted absence by the President or Designated Director. Example: Changing stirrup fenders on saddle. You will not change any part of the awards. Prizes awarded to you as XIT RODEO QUEEN are as is. You will NOT participate in any other pageants throughout your reign as XIT Rodeo Queen. Thank you notes are ESSENTIAL and should be mailed to ALL XIT QUEEN donors the week following XIT!. You must continue to wear your XIT Rodeo Queen attire. After a Rodeo, Parade or other designated XIT function appearance you may go to a dance or party with parental permission and a designated director. Arrive at the Rodeo, Parade, or other designated XIT function with plenty of time to check in with your designated Director. When attending a Rodeo, Parade or designated XIT function, you must have the permission of the President or your designated Director to leave. As reigning XIT Rodeo Queen, anytime you participate in a designated XIT function, you are required to wear white shirt with a collar, blue jeans and cowgirl hat along with crown, sash, etc. Smoking, drinking and illegal drug use will not be tolerated. She wants everyone to follow the plan God has for you and never give up! Xit is a great organization as well as an amazing family to be a part of. Morgan wants to encourage any kids or even adults to find a dream and work hard to accomplish it. Morgan has always admired the XIT traditions that the XIT rodeo upholds such as the empty saddle before the rodeo starts. Morgan has also enjoyed representing XIT at the Cowboy Classic in Dumas and the Christmas Parade in Stratford. She has read to the Stratford Elementary Kindergarten class before Christmas. She loves representing XIT in multiple establishments. She enjoys checking cattle and branding the calves as well. Her family runs a small herd of cattle as well as sheep. #XIT RODEO 2015 CODE#

She is also competing in the JRCA in barrels, poles, and starting on her journey in breakaway roping. She has recently started competing in the Young Guns Extravaganza in Dodge City on a new pole horse, Pepper. As well as running barrels and poles, she also competes in sorting competitions on her three year old, Cat. She was able to win the pole bending for that year with her pole horse Heather. She was also an ambassador for the local riding club, Silver Spurs Rodeo Club, for three years.
She started running barrels in the local riding club when she was around 9 years old.
#XIT RODEO 2015 HOW TO#
She taught Morgan all about how to become comfortable riding and competing on horseback. This year Morgan’s Vet Science team was one spot away from advancing to the state competition Morgan’s first horse was named Jemma. She also served as the secretary in the Stratford FFA officer team and she has qualified for area in multiple competitions. She competed in LDE, CDE, and SDE competitions in the FFA. Morgan had a strong love for playing in the marching band and served as the head drum major in the Big Blue Band. She enjoys showing pigs and goats, running barrels, poles, and breakaway. Then after taking her basics at OPSU, Morgan will transfer to OSU to pursue a degree in Ag business and a minor in ranch management. She is planning on graduating early from high school and enrolling in OPSU. She is now enrolled in a homeschool program, Acellus.
She was an incoming junior at Stratford High School. She has two other sisters Kaytly and Ellie. Morgan Clift is the 17-year old daughter of Bryan and Jana Clift.
